A Remarkable Turnaround for Varsity Soccer The varsity soccer season came to an end Saturday in the OHSAA sectional tournament at Northridge, but it's worth recognizing just how much this team improved over the past year. After finishing 0–11 in 2025, the Eagles posted a 6–7–1 record in 2026, including two conference victories. LCA increased its goals scored from 3 to 33, and reduced goals allowed from 72 to 48. That's a significant turnaround in a single season, and one worth recognizing as they close out the year. Congratulations to the players and Coaches Stearns and Fourman on the progress they made this year! Can't wait to see the continued growth next season. |
Volleyball Advances in the OHSAA Tournament The Lady Eagles battled back after dropping the opening set Thursday to defeat Berne Union 3–1 in their sectional matchup. After a 22–25 opening set, LCA responded with three straight victories, 25–18, 25–18 and 25–19, to advance to Wednesday's district semifinal at Newark Catholic. Natalie Holp recorded 16 kills and 14 assists, Avery Breen added 17 assists, and Ryleigh Franklin finished with five aces. Good luck on Wednesday! |
Personal Bests at XC DistrictsLCA's high school cross country runners wrapped up OHSAA district competition Saturday at Hilliard Darby with several strong individual performances. Jaxon Reynolds (19:41.3) and Zach Ramsey (19:42.7) both recorded personal-best times under 20 minutes. Lincoln Platte (24:15.1) and Zion Llewellyn (31:09.5) also recorded personal bests, while James Graham (20:54.1) ran a season best. Hunter Alexander rounded out the LCA finishers at 24:18.5. Congratulations to all six athletes on their district performances, and best of luck to our XC teams at Friday's Christian School State Championships! |
